Joel Miron: President & CEO
Joel Miron, President and Chief Executive Officer, is co-founder of
Hospitality Design Consultants, Inc. Mr. Miron is responsible for
all of the day-to-day operations of the company. Oftentimes he also
serves as both general manager and interior designer on various projects
the firm is engaged on. During his years as President and Chief
Operating Officer, Mr. Miron developed close ties with multiple property
owners and began developing the value-added “turnkey” concept to hotel
design and renovation. Joel has been in the Interior Design industry for
over forty years. Prior to forming HDC, Joel owned and operated an
interior design firm in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Upon moving to South
Florida in 1979, Mr. Miron was instrumental in starting Contract Design
Group, the hospitality interior design division of The Frank Seiden
Company in Miami. Mr. Miron earned a Bachelor of Science degree from
Temple University.
Marsha Miron: Senior Vice President of Purchasing &
CFO
Marsha Miron, Senior Vice President of Purchasing and Chief Financial
Officer, is co-founder of Hospitality Design Consultants, Inc. Mrs.
Miron is responsible for all financial operations of the company,
including overseeing its Purchasing division. Prior to her current role,
Mrs. Miron served as the company’s Director of Purchasing. Over the
years, Marsha has worked on many different types of projects with
varying degrees of complexity. It is her attention to detail and
professionalism that has made HDC one of the top purchasing companies in
the hospitality industry. Mrs. Miron earned a Bachelor of Science degree
from Temple University.
Carlos Castro: Director of Interior Design
Carlos Castro is Hospitality Design Consultants Director of Interior
Design. In 1995, Mr. Castro moved to Florida to join HDC as a Senior
Interior Designer. In 2000, he was promoted to Design Director and
now oversees a staff of several interior designers. Prior to joining
Hospitality Design Consultants, Carlos worked as a staff designer for
Hotel Installation and Design in San Diego, California. Carlos has
worked on a wide variety of designs for both franchise and non-franchise
hotels. Most recently, he and his staff were cited for their dynamic
redesign of the Holiday Inn Ventura Beach and its conversion to a Crowne
Plaza. Mr. Castro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural
Interiors from the University of California. He also holds a BS
degree in Interior Design from The Design Institute of San Diego,
California.
